Het was een erg indrukwekkend geluidsculptuur:\u00a0wanneer je met je hoofd bewoog leek je door allerlei geluidslagen heen te gaan. Zelf liep ik een paar keer door de zaal en dan kreeg je andere delen van het geluidsveld te horen. Om de nagedachtenis zo authentiek te laten klinken ging Ankersmit alleen met analoge instrumentaria te werk. Het is een van de prachtigste electronische noise-stukken die ik tot nu toe gehoord heb.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>For this electronic music performance, sound artist and composer Thomas Ankersmit delves into the ideas and instruments of a Dutch titan of electronic music, Dick Raaijmakers (1930\u20132013). Ankersmit\u2019s homage was commissioned for this edition of Sonic Acts Academy and will premi\u00e8re during the opening night at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam. As a work of contemporary music in its own right, Ankersmit\u2019s homage re-evaluates Raaijmakers\u2019 concepts of sound, composition and spatial experience in a technologically more advanced era. Ankersmit mainly uses similar means as Raaijmakers: tone and noise generators, modulators, filters, mixers, amplifiers and speakers. However, instead of Raaijmakers\u2019 usual method of editing with magnetic tape, Ankersmit uses computer software.<sup>1 en 2<\/sup><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Verder was het opvallend druk in het Stedelijk Museum, hetgeen toch verassend is voor een noise-festival. De hele interfaculteit leek in ieder geval uitgenodigd. Het concert van Ankersmit was uitverkocht: in ieder geval 400 noise-fans (2&#215;200) in de zaal. Wordt Boehmer met zijn opmerking over 1.000 liefhebbers in MKM inmiddels ingehaald?<br \/>\nAndere acts zoals Raphael Vanoli en Maryanne Amacher vond ik minder interessant.
